Day 12 - Book You Love but Hate at the Same Time
I love the early Anita Blake books even though I recognize and hate so many aspects of the series at the same time. I hate Anita's Mary Sue-ness and the development of her relationship with Jean Claude and Richard. And I straight up despise the idea that comes across in the series that the only relationships (friendships and otherwise) that have worth are the ones with men. Hate it all.... and yet I still hold a soft spot for the books (up to Blue Moon).
